When 65,000 ruby fans attend an international rugby match at Scotland’s largest stadium, the Scottish Rugby Union trust Catalyst to provide a first-call PA system to deliver impeccable sound throughout the enormous stadium. Since 2012, we have provided audio support for all Six Nation, Summer Test and Autumn International matches, as well as the odd football match at the BT Murrayfield System.
We use a combination of ground-stacked d&b Y-Series and hang T-Series where space allows, utilising ArrayCalc software to get the best coverage from the system. Balancing the need for clarity of the announcers, impact of the anthems and even coverage across the stadium is not without its challenges, but our winning system ensures that when the players walk onto the pitch, the entire venue comes alive – every time!
When Storm Ciara hit, our team overcame serious challenges to deliver a first-rate PA system. Our client was extremely appreciative, commenting: “With all the challenges that faced all of us across all elements, you and your team did one hell of a job ensuring we got the very best out of the PA. Not just match day, but ensuring the smooth and safe running of install and de-rig. It is sincerely appreciated by me and my team, and it is a pleasure to consistently work with professionals. The best in the business!”
